While complaining about my four year old hellion, my daddy says to me how wonderful she is and what pleasure she brings to his life. Then he says, "Grandchildren are the reward you get for not killing your own children." I LOVE THIS!
This was this really good program on NPR about the flu. What I liked about it was this doctor, a pediatrician from some big hospital who was such an advocate on kids getting vacinated for both regular flu and swine flu. What made it different was not the information he gave out, although good but he did it with such conviction and forthrightness: like once, he sounded like "House" to someone who called in and was not going to vacinate her kids. He said something like, "you can do what you want butit's stupid." I don't mean to put the person down but it is so refreshing to me to hear someone just simply lay it out there and not just waffle about things. God bless and as the Nascar guys say, "God bless Merica."
