The greatest statement ever...
While complaining about my four year old hellion, my daddy says to me how wonderful she is and what pleasure she brings to his life. Then he says, "Grandchildren are the reward you get for not killing your own children." I LOVE THIS!

Mushroom Soup
I made my own mushroom soup with a few alterations. I am so proud of myself. Attempted to make meatball, mushroom stroganoff last night and it was a little bit of a disaster. Yeah me!

When did 4 become the new 2?
That's it? When did a four year old revert back to two year old behavior that makes me want to go back to two years ago? Seriously?

Oh, today is good!
Just a quick note about how much I love my life these days. My marriage is the best it has ever been, my children are fun (mostly) and I am rekindling friendships that lost some of their spice last year. I am thinking about going back to school and actually having a career. I have been praying on this for the past couple of days. As of yet, I still don't know but I do know that there will be a plan. We are a happy family! Remember to check back in and see how I feel about this tomorrow! :)

Lilly's 4th

My first born turns four today, and I reflect.... The first three years of her life were spectacular, but this last one took ten years. The arrival of my son, who cried every day, all day for six months, took away so much. Today, he gives back. This is what I will remember forever. A beautiful daughter who lights up at the sight of her little brother. He laughs when he sees her, bounces around with her while she tries to tickle him and forever stares at her with admiration. This is what I cherish, and why I wanted another one. Today we celebrate Lilly and everything she is, which is a spectacular child!

Bread making...
Every week, I feel overcome by the need to make bread. Ok, maybe it is because the bread I made last week is moldy, but still, I am making bread. Tonight, I am having wine, baking bread and spending some time with my hubby. The kids went down at the crazy hour of 5:30 because they were overtired and we have been alone since then. Haven't had one conversation this entire time, but it feels like heaven! Pure heaven!

First blog...
I will consider this my first blog! I haven't written in ages. Seems like a lifetime. My family keeps me busy. My youngest is a year old, and after a year, it isn't any easier. At least he doesn't scream all day, but he is just a hard baby. My lovely, wonderful three year old is almost four and life is a constant struggle of compromise. My husband is lovely, except for his newly shaved face with some weirdo mustache. Life is, as usual, a constantly changing spectacle.
